Size: 15cm x 15cmCanterbury’s biblical windows are known as ‘Typological Windows’ meaning that each New Testament subject is paired with a subject from the Old Testament that mirrors its content. Collectively known as the Poor Man’s Bible, they were used as a teaching medium by monks for the largely illiterate population in the Middle Ages. They are amongst the most beautiful and best-preserved 12th Century windows in Europe.
