Beato Angelico, or 'blessed angelic one' is also know as Fra Angelico, or Angelic Friar. Angelico was a painter in the Early Italian Renaissance, primarily frescos for his own friary. He painted religious subjects exclusively, and is well known for his depiction of the Annunciation, the Transfiguration and The Deposition from the Cross, all featured in this handsome wall calendar.
