A superfrontal or Orphrey panel. Silk floss and Japanese gold and woven silk tissue braid on stamped silk velvet.
Designed by G.F.Bodley in 1880 and worked by Watts and Co Ltd. The same design was used on the Westminster Abbey High Altar frontal and Dean and Chapter copes for the Coronation of King Edward VII in 1902. English c1900
